In the past week, NC State’s DJ Burns and DJ Horne both joined the 2,000 point club.
With 15 seconds left on the clock in the game against Duke, Horne hit back-to-back free throws, which were his 1,999th and 2,000th points.
After the conclusion of the ACC Tournament, Horne has 2,037 career points.
With 11:52 left in the 2nd half of the ACC Championship Game against UNC, Burns fittingly made a hook shot that added up to his 1,999th point and his 2,000th point (he enters tonight’s game with exactly 2,000 points).
NC State is 1 of only 4 schools to boast two 2,000 point scorers, joining Illinois, UNC and Wright State.
