Since the early moments of the game, Manchester United dominated play but it wasn't until Ella Toone's wonderstrike in the second minute of added time in the first half that set the tone for a United masterclass.
Once again proving she can hold her nerve at Wembley when her side needed her most, Toone made sure that this year would be different from last.
Scoring right on the stroke of half-time allowed Spurs to reconvine at the break but it seemed to have had the opposite effect.
